The Phoenix, AZ resident in this case noticed that his GMC Yukon was missing late one Sunday morning. His local police, assisted by the LoJack® system, were able to recover his SUV in less than an hour after activation, so he could have the rest of the day to relax.

On September 29th, 2013, the GMC’s owner called Phoenix Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the stolen vehicle information into the NCIC police computer. The LoJack unit concealed in the Yukon, which was installed at Showcase Motors in Phoenix, AZ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, Phoenix PD officers from the Central City Precinct began picking up the homing signal from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their police vehicles. The officers tracked the GMC to a housing project on North 19th Street, where they found it parked and unoccupied. The Yukon was recovered and soon returned to its relieved owner.
