The LoJack® System Helps Dorchester County, South Carolina Sheriff’s Office Recover Stolen Honda Accord

When these North Charleston, NC residents in this case discovered their Honda Accord missing from his driveway one Friday morning, they were glad they chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their car. Local law enforcement, with help from LoJack, was able to not only recover the Accord before any damage occurred, but they also apprehended two suspects in the process.
On October 4th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the North Charleston Police to report that their vehicle was stolen from their home. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Coggin Honda of Orlando, FL, was then automatically activated.
A short while later, officers from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office in picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking Computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex. Two suspects were arrested at the scene. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
