When the owners of a 2008 Dodge Charger found it missing from their Denver, CO home one Saturday afternoon, it’s pretty certain that they were relieved to have the LoJack® system installed in their car, especially since their local police, assisted by LoJack, recovered their vehicle in less than two hours after activation.

On October 5th, 2013, the Dodge’s owners contacted the Denver Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Dodge, which was installed at Colorado Chrysler Jeep in Aurora, CO.

A short while later, deputies with the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the Dodge to the area near South Broadway near Bellevue. One suspect was taken into custody, and the Charger was soon returned to its very grateful owners.
