When a driver has the LoJack® system installed in on their car, truck, van or motorcycle, they are protected in every state that has LoJack coverage. In this case, a LoJack installed on the East Coast helps police recover a stolen car on the West Coast in just under four hours after activation.

On October 5th, 2013, the Hyundai’s owners contacted Denver Police to report that their vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Hyundai, which was installed at Herb Connolly Mitsubishi in Framingham, MA.

A short while later, officers with the Denver PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the Hyundai to West Nevada Place, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Accent was soon returned to its happy owners.
