In this case, ground and air police units in Colorado team up with the LoJack® system to recover a stolen Toyota Sequoia.

On October 1st, 2013, the Toyota’s owners contacted the Denver Police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Sequoia, which was installed at Shore Toyota in Mays Landing, NJ.

A short time later, both the Denver PD Air-One helicopter and officers with the Lakewood PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft. The Sequoia was found parked and abandoned on Kipling Street in Lakewood, and was soon returned to its relieved owners. This was the second time the Toyota had been stolen and recovered by police assisted by the LoJack System.
