The Ford F-550 truck stolen from a business in Pacific, WA was pretty pricey- in addition to the cost of the vehicle itself, it was equipped with a boom, a generator, and other valuable equipment. The victimized company was smart enough to install the LoJack® system on this very valuable asset so, when it was stolen, the local police could recover in in less than forty minutes after activation.

Sometime during the early morning hours of September 25th, 2013, the Ford was discovered stolen. The crime was reported to the Pacific Police who verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the truck.

A short time later, officers from Puyallup, Sumner and Bonney Lake began to receive the silent LoJack homing signal transmitting from the stolen truck on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol cars. The officers tracked the signal to 159th Avenue East and Bowman-Hilton Road where it was found parked and abandoned. The F-550 was soon returned to the grateful business owners.
