The Gretna, LA residents in this case discovered their Infiniti EX35 was missing from their residence one Thursday afternoon. The LoJack® system they had installed when purchasing their car was activated right away by police and helped them locate the car that same day.

The Infiniti’s owners contacted the Gretna, LA Police Department to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the EX35, which was installed at Ray Brandt Infiniti in Metairie, LA.

A short while later, a Louisiana state trooper picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in his patrol vehicle. The trooper tracked the vehicle to a local motel parking lot where it was exiting onto the highway. The trooper conducted a vehicle stop and arrested the driver, as well as a passenger with outstanding warrants. The Infiniti’s owners were relieved to have his EX35 returned to them in great shape.
