This Livingston, NJ resident noticed her 2010 Honda Accord was missing from her driveway very early one Wednesday morning. Although it was an hour when most people were asleep, the LoJack® system installed in her car was ready to go, and assisted local law enforcement in recovering the vehicle in just two and a half hours after activation.

On September 25th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Livingston Police to report that her vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Accord, which was installed at Towne KIA in Denville, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Essex County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the Honda to a shopping mall in West Orange, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Accord was soon returned to its relieved owner.
