The owner of a 2011 Toyota Camry in North Hollywood, CA, discovered it was stolen around 4:30 a.m. on a recent Sunday morning. Despite the early hour, both her local police and the LoJack® system installed in her car were ready for action, and the Camry was recovered in just over one hour after activation.

On September 15th, 2013, the Toyota’s owners contacted police in North Hollywood to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Toyota Central in Los Angeles, CA.

A short while later, police officers picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol units. The officers tracked the Toyota to Camellia Ave., where it was found parked and unoccupied. The Camry was recovered and soon returned to its relieved owner.
