When a Denver luxury car dealership was missing a BMW Z4, they contacted their local police who, with the help of the LoJack® system, were able to recover the vehicle in just one hour and five minutes after activation.

On September 25th, 2013, the dealership contacted Denver Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the BMW.

A short while later, flight officers in the Denver Police helicopter as well as Denver ground patrol officers picked up the homing signals from the stolen car with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles and aircraft. The BMW was quickly located through the teamwork of airborne and ground units. A traffic stop was initiated and one suspect was arrested. The Z4 was safely recovered and soon returned to the thankful owners of the dealership.
