When two cars were discovered stolen from a repair facility in Adams County, CO, one Tuesday morning, the police were called immediately. One of the vehicles, an Audi Avant S4, was protected by the LoJack® system and recovered that same day by police.

On September 3rd, 2013, the owner of the auto shop contacted Adams County Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Audi, which was installed at Don Rosen Imports in Hoboken, NJ.

A short while later, officers with the Lakewood PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Officers located the S4 parked and abandoned behind an apartment house. The undamaged Audi was soon returned to its grateful owner, who told police this was the second time his car and been stolen and recovered using the LoJack system.
