In this case, the LoJack® system assists police not only in recovering a stolen Mulq Generator/Welder, but two other stolen machines as well.

On August 13th, 2013, the generator’s owners contacted the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office to report it stolen from their workplace. Deputies verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the machine.

A short while later, officers from the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office picked up the homing signals from the stolen generator on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle to a rural residence at the end of a long dirt drive. The generator was found undamaged and intact hidden behind an outbuilding. Also recovered in the same location was an ATV stolen from Anderson County and a go cart stolen from Greenville County. The Mulq was soon returned to its very relieved owners.
