When an Isuzu MFG pickup was stolen from a Deerfield Beach, FL, business recently, the owners were very glad they chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their truck. Local law enforcement, with the help of LoJack, recovered the MFG in less than an hour after activation.

On September 10th, 2013, the Isuzu’s owners contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to report the crime. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report and theft affidavit and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the pickup truck, which was installed at City Mitsubishi in Jacksonville, FL.

A short while later, a Miami-Dade PD auto theft detective picked up the homing signal from the stolen pickup on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer requested backup and located the MFG vehicle parked and abandoned in an apartment complex lot. The undamaged truck was soon returned to its grateful owners.
