The owner of a 2010 Toyota Camry in Lyndhurst, NJ, had a very rude awakening when she found her car missing from where she had parked it the previous evening. The LoJack® system she had installed at the time of purchase came to her rescue, helping local police recover her Camry in just three hours and 37 minutes after activation.

On September 6th, 2013, the owner of the Toyota contacted Lyndhurst Police to report that her vehicle had been stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Camry, which was installed at Hudson Toyota in Jersey City, NJ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, a patrol officer from the Newark PD picked up the homing signals from the Toyota on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer recovered the Camry and quickly returned it to its happy owner.
