What started as an average Tuesday morning for this Philadelphia, PA resident turned into a major pain when he found his Toyota Camry missing from his residence. The cure for this victim’s pain was the LoJack® system he had installed when he bought his car. The local police, assisted by LoJack, were able to recover the Camry in just 31 minutes after activation.

On September 17th, 2013, the Toyota’s owner contacted Philadelphia Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle’s information into Philadelphia Police Computer System and the Pennsylvania State Police Computer. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the stolen Camry, which was installed at Faulkner Toyota in Trevose, PA.

A short while later, officers from the Philadelphia Police 15th District picked up the homing signals from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the vehicle parked and abandoned on Tackawanna Street. The Camry was soon returned to its relieved owner.
