The victim in our next case was a hard working pizza delivery driver in Philadelphia, PA. While working late one Tuesday evening, he was accosted by two armed men who took his personal items and his 2008 Honda Accord. The LoJack® system installed in his car helped local police recover it in just 11 minutes after activation, and deliver it back to its rightful owner.

On September 10th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted Philadelphia Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the car’s information into the Philadelphia Police Computer System and the Pennsylvania State Police Computer System. This entry automatically activated the LoJack unit installed in the Accord, which was installed at Honda of Turnersville, NJ.

The investigators tracked the car to Belfield Avenue, where it was parked and abandoned. . They set up a covert surveillance and observed a male enter the Accord. When the officers approached and identified themselves, the suspect attempted to flee on foot but was quickly taken into custody. The Honda was soon returned to the very grateful delivery driver.
