In this case, two branches of Arizona law enforcement team up to recover a Dodge Magnum stolen in Phoenix in less than three hours, with assistance from the LoJack® system.

On September 3rd, 2013, the Dodge’s owner called Phoenix Police to report the crime. Officers verified the theft and entered the stolen vehicle information into the NCIC police computer. The LoJack transponder concealed in the Magnum, which was installed at Chapman Autoplex in Scottsdale, AZ, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, officers from both Phoenix PD and the Arizona Department of Public Safety began picking up the homing signal from the Dodge with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the car to an apartment complex on East Jones, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The Magnum was soon returned to its relieved owner.
