One of the worst experiences imaginable is having your new car stolen, like the Kendall, Florida residents in this case, who found that their 2013 Infiniti G37 was missing from their own driveway. These victims did not have to worry too long, because they had the LoJack® system installed when they bought their vehicle. Local law enforcement, with the help of LoJack, tracked the G37 down in just 19 minutes after activation.

On August 27th, 2013, the Infiniti’s owners contacted Miami-Dade police to report their vehicle stolen. The responding officer prepared a stolen vehicle report and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the G37, which was installed at South Motors Infiniti in Miami, FL.

A short while later, a Hialeah Gardens PD officer picked up the homing signal from the stolen car on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. After requesting backup, the officer located the vehicle in an apartment complex parking lot, where it was found abandoned. The Infiniti was soon returned to its very relieved owners.
