Aurora, Colorado Police Recover Stolen Dodge Caliber Assisted by the LoJack® System

The Aurora, CO family in this case had been the victims of a home break-in where their car keys were stolen. Unfortunately, the crooks returned and took their Dodge Caliber in the middle of the night. It’s a good thing the owners chose to have the LoJack® system installed when they purchased their vehicle, so local police were able to recover it that same day and bring these victims a little well-needed peace of mind.
On August 10th, 2013, the Dodge’s owners contacted the Aurora PD to report that their vehicle had been stolen during the night from their home. The police verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Caliber, which was installed at Cherry Creek Dodge in Aurora, CO, was then automatically activated.
A short while later, officers from Aurora and Denver picked up the homing signals from the Dodge on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Officers tracked the car to an area in Aurora where it was found parked and unoccupied. The Caliber was soon returned to its very grateful owners.
