It was a terrible shock to this Fairburn, GA resident to find his 2009 BMW 750 missing from his driveway one Monday afternoon. The victim did have one factor in his favor- the car was protected by the LoJack® system, so local police were able to track it down in just over 90 minutes after activation.

On August 12th, 2013, the BMW’s owner contacted the Fulton County Police to report that his car was missing. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack transponder concealed in the 750, which was installed at Braman BMW in West Palm Beach, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer with the Georgia Motor Vehicle Carrier Unit began receiving the homing signal from the BMW on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the vehicle to a vacant house, where it was parked and abandoned. The owner was very glad to have his undamaged BMW returned to him in such a short time.
