Austin, Texas Police Recover Stolen Mercedes Benz CLK500 Assisted by the LoJack® System in just 38 Minutes

The Austin, TX resident in this case was a multiple victim- his home was broken into, and the thieves found his car keys and took his Mercedes Benz CLK500 as well. The local police, with help from the LoJack® system installed in the Benz, were able to make this scary situation a little less stressful by recovering the car in a little over a half hour after activation.
On July 30th, 2013, the owner of the Mercedes contacted Austin, TX police. Officers verified the burglary and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This procedure automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the CLK500, which was installed at Fletcher Jones Motor Cars in Newport Beach, CA.
A short while later, officers from the Austin PD picked up the homing signals from the Mercedes on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle traveling on Weberville Rd. The car was stopped and the driver arrested. The undamaged CLK500 was soon returned to its relieved owner.
