The Texas resident in this case was shocked to find his Ford F-150 missing from his driveway around 1 AM one Sunday morning. He called his local police right away and, with the help of the LoJack® system, they were able to recover it later that same morning, much to the owner’s relief.

On July 21st, 2013, the Ford’s owner contacted the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department to report that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway. HCSD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the pickup, which was installed at North Country Ford in Dallas, TX.

A short while later, officers from the Dallas Police Dept. picked up the homing signals from the F-350 on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the truck to Silverado Rd, where they found it parked and abandoned. The Ford, with only minor ignition damage, was soon returned to its happy owner.
