These Las Vegas, NV residents had a nasty shock when they discovered that both a set of keys and their Ford F-150 were missing one Friday morning. The victims were very glad they decided to purchase the LoJack® system when they bought their truck, so local police were able to recover it in less than an hour after activation.

The owners quickly contacted the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police where a report was filed. Officers verified the theft and entered the Ford’s information into the NCIC Stolen Vehicle System. This automatically activated the hidden LoJack transponder in the pickup, which was installed at Friendly Ford in Las Vegas, NV.

A short while later, an officer with LVMP began picking up the homing signal from the F-150 on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The officer was located the pickup which was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Ford was soon returned to its grateful owners.
