This case involves a 2012 Suzuki GSX1300 motorcycle that was stolen in Pennsylvania and located in New Jersey, with the help of the LoJack® system, in just one hour after activation.

On July 24th, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner discovered that his motorcycle had been stolen overnight from his apartment parking lot. He called Philadelphia Police to report the incident. The officer verified the theft and entered the bike’s information into the Philadelphia Police Computer System and the Pennsylvania State Police Computer. This action automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the GSX1300, which was installed at Crossroad Powersports in Upper Darby, PA.

A short while later, Philadelphia PD officers began to intercept the homing signals from the Suzuki on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the signal, first to the Delaware River and then to Camden, NJ. Camden Police arrived to assist and the motorcycle was recovered in a garage on River Road in Camden. The Suzuki was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
