The owners of the Honda Civic EX in this case discovered it missing one Saturday morning. The same vehicle had been stolen a year ago and recovered by police using the LoJack® system, and the victims were hoping for the same outcome.

The Honda Civic was stolen from South 41st Street in Tacoma, WA sometime during the morning hours of July 13th, 2013. The owners contacted Tacoma Police. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Titus Will Ford in Tacoma, WA.

A short while later, a Lakewood, WA police officer received the homing signal from the Civic on the LoJack tracking computer installed in her patrol car. She called for backup and tracked the stolen car to a residence on South G Street in Tacoma. The Honda was located, partially disassembled, in the garage and the occupant was arrested. This same car was stolen in July of 2012 in Tacoma and recovered by Lakewood Police assisted by LoJack. The owners of the Civic were very grateful to have their vehicle recovered a second time.
