A Cadillac Escalade is stolen from a car dealership in Oklahoma in this case. Local law enforcement, assisted by the LoJack® system, is able to recover the SUV in a little over one hour after activation.

On July 20th, 2013, the Escalade’s owner contacted the Skiatook, OK Police to report the incident. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Escalade, which was installed at Sewell Village Cadillac in Dallas, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, an officer with the Tulsa Police Gilcrease Division picked up the homing signal from the Cadillac with the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol car. The officer was able to quickly locate the stolen car on East Pine St. in Tulsa, in the parking lot of a convenience store. A male was observed next to the car, but upon spotting the officer he rapidly walked away attempting to escape. The suspect, who had a felony warrant, was quickly apprehended and the Escalade was soon returned to its grateful owner.
