A Dodge Ram 15 pickup truck is stolen overnight from its owner’s San Antonio, TX residence in this case. The LoJack® system that the owner had installed when purchasing his truck helps his local police recover it the same day.

On July 21st, 2013 the Dodge’s owner contacted the San Antonio Police Department and reported his pickup had been stolen. SAPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Ram, which was installed at Murphy-Shelby Dodge in San Fernando, CA.

A short while later, a patrol officer from the San Antonio PD picked up the homing signals from the Dodge on the LoJack tracking computers installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the pickup traveling on 410 Loop near the intersection of Ray Ellison Blvd. An Auto Theft Task Force officer joined him, and they were able to stop the Ram and arrest the driver. The truck was soon returned to its relieved owner.
