Houston, Texas Police Recovers Stolen Lexus 250 Assisted by the LoJack® System

Having your vehicle stolen during an extended holiday weekend can put a major crimp in any plans you may have. The Houston, TX resident in this case was surely glad he chose to have the LoJack® system installed when purchasing his Lexus 250, so local law enforcement recovered it quickly after activation, and he could relax and enjoy the rest of his holiday.
On July 5th, 2013, the 250’s owner awoke to find his vehicle had been stolen sometime overnight. He immediately contacted the Houston Police Department and filed a report. Houston PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at CarMax Houston South in Houston, TX.
A short while later, officers from Houston Police Department picked up the homing signals from the 250 on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the car to a large apartment parking lot where the vehicle was backed into a parking space with the front license tag removed. The Lexus, which had only minor damage, was soon returned to its rightful owner.
