One of the benefits of having the LoJack® system installed in your vehicle is that it helps your local law enforcement track your car, truck, van or motorcycle quickly, so the thieves have less time to either damage it or move it to a distant location. In this case, a stolen Chevy C1500 pickup is recovered by police in just 73 minutes after activation.

On July 1st, 2013, the C1500’s owners contacted the Lakewood Police to report that their truck was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Chevy, which was installed at Skyline Automotive in Thornton, CO.

A short while later, officers with the Lakewood PD picked up the homing signals from the stolen Chevrolet with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  They tracked the truck to the area of Colfax and Miller where it was safely recovered. The C1500 was soon returned to its grateful owners.
