It’s a pretty safe bet that this San Diego, CA resident didn’t want to spend the 4th of July holiday weekend worrying about his stolen Suzuki GSX-R600 motorcycle, so his local police and the LoJack® system helped him out by recovering his stolen bike in less than an hour after activation!

On July 5th, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner contacted the San Diego Police to report that his motorcycle was stolen from his residence. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Suzuki motorcycle, which was installed at Bert’s Mega Mall in Covina, CA.

A short time later, an SDPD officer picked up the homing signals from the motorcycle on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer tracked the bike to a residential area in the rear of an apartment complex located at 35th Street and 36th Street, where it was parked and abandoned. The GSX-R600 was soon returned to its happy owner.
