This San Diego, CA resident discovered his 2008 Jeep Wrangler was missing from his residence right after lunch one Thursday. He contacted local police right away and they, assisted by the LoJack® system, recovered the vehicle in less than two hours, in plenty of time for dinner.

On June 20th, 2013, the Jeep’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen. SDPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Jeep.

A short time later, deputies from the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up thehoming signals from the Jeep on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The deputies tracked the vehicle to a residential area in Spring Valley, where it was found parked and abandoned.  The owner was very happy to get his Jeep back so quickly.
