Fort Worth, Texas Police Recover Stolen Honda Civic Assisted by the LoJack® System in just 70 Minutes

When this Arlington, TX resident returned home from vacation and found her Honda Civic missing, she suspected her ex-boyfriend. Her local police, working with the LoJack® system, were able to prove her suspicions were correct, tracking down both her car and her disgruntled ex in one hour and ten minutes after activation.

On June 26th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Arlington Police Dept. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Civic, which was installed at Vandergriff Honda in Arlington, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers from the Fort Worth PD picked up the homing signals from the Honda on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers tracked the vehicle traveling in the downtown area.  Officers were able to stop the stolen Honda and arrest the driver, the owner’s ex-boyfriend.  The undamaged Civic was soon returned to its happy owner.
