There are few things more upsetting than parking your vehicle one evening, then waking up the next morning and finding it gone.  This happened to a San Jose, CA resident recently. He was smart enough to purchase the LoJack® system when he bought his Suzuki GSX-R750, so local police were able to recover his bike in just two hours and six minutes after activation. Read on to find out what else the police discovered.

On July 4th, 2013, the Suzuki’s owner parked his motorcycle in the driveway of his home in San Jose.  The next morning the owner discovered that his motorcycle was stolen.  San Jose PD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers The LoJack unit concealed on the bike, which was installed at MDK Motorsports in Oakland, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, San Jose Police picked up the homing signals from the Suzuki with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. Officers discovered the GSX-R750 inside a locked residential garage, along with four other stolen motorcycles. Several occupants of the home were questioned and arrested for Grand Theft and other felony charges.  The recovered Suzuki sustained only minor damage to the ignition and fork lock, and was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
