A 2008 Jeep Wrangler is taken from a San Diego, CA resident in this case. The LoJack® system helps local police recover it in less than two hours after activation.

On June 20th, 2013, the Jeep’s owner contacted the San Diego Police Department to report his vehicle was stolen from his home. SDPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Wrangler.

A short time later, deputies from San Diego County Sheriff’s Department picked up the homing signals from the Jeep on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The deputies tracked the car to a residential area in Spring Valley, where it was parked and abandoned. The Wrangler was soon returned to its very happy owner.
