On the morning before the Fourth of July, these Baltimore, Maryland residents discovered that their Chrysler Sebring was missing from where they had parked it. Local law enforcement, with help from the LoJack® system, recovered the vehicle in less than one hour after activation.

On July 3rd, 2013, the Sebring’s owners contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen. BCPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Chrysler, which was installed at S&S Dodge in Towson, MD.

A short while later, flight officers in the Baltimore City Police Department Aviation unit “Foxtrot” picked up the homing signals from the Chrysler on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their helicopter. The officers tracked the Sebring to N. Wolfe Street in east Baltimore. At this location, detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team (RATT) located the unoccupied car. The undamaged Sebring was soon returned to its relieved owner.
