The men and women of law enforcement are the people who work most closely with the LoJack® system to retrieve stolen vehicles, so it is a point of pride for our company that so many of them choose to install LoJack on their own personal cars, trucks, vans and motorcycles.

On June 18th, 2013, a Broward County deputy sheriff discovered his Ford F-450 pickup missing from his Pompano Beach, FL home. He contacted the Broward County Sheriff’s Office to report that his vehicle was stolen. The responding officer verified the theft and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the pickup truck, which was installed at Maroone Ford in Margate, FL.

A short while later, Miami-Dade PD officers picked up the homing signal from the Ford on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the vehicle in a parking lot on S.W. 117th Avenue. The F-450 was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
