The West Palm Beach, FL resident in this case woke up one Wednesday morning to find that his Honda S2000 convertible was missing from his home, where he had parked it the previous evening. Local law enforcement was able to locate his stolen car, with the help of the LoJack® system, in less than a half hour after activation.

On June 13th, 2013, the Honda’s owner contacted the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office to report the crime. The responding officer verified the theft and had the vehicle’s information entered into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the convertible, which was installed at Maroone Honda in Hollywood, FL, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, a Broward County Sheriff’s Office deputy picked up the homing signal from the S2000 on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The officer located the vehicle abandoned in an apartment complex lot on Northwest 9th Avenue, with only ignition damage. The Honda was soon returned to its very relieved owner.
