In this case, the recovery of a Honda Prelude stolen in El Cajon, CA is made extra special when a second stolen vehicle is recovered at the same time.

On June 27th, 2013, the Prelude’s owner contacted the El Cajon Police Department to report that her vehicle was stolen. ECPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers, which automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Honda.

A short time later, officers from San Diego Police Department picked up the homing signals from the Prelude on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle to an apartment complex parking lot on Willie James Jones Ave.  A male was observed taking property from the Honda and placing it inside another car that was also recently stolen in San Diego.  Two suspects were arrested, and the undamaged Prelude was soon returned to its very happy owner.
