Construction equipment is usually big and bulky, but that doesn’t stop thieves from stealing it. What does stop them- local police, assisted by the LoJack® system, who will recover the machine so the owners can get back to work.

On June 24th, 2013, the owner of a Sullivan Air Compressor contacted the Gloucester, NJ Township Police Department to report that his construction equipment had been stolen from a construction site. GTPD verified the theft and entered the machine’s information into the state and federal crime computers. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Air Compressor, which was installed at Elliott & Frantz, Inc. in King of Prussia, PA.

A short time later, an Aviation Unit from the Philadelphia Police Department picked up the silent LoJack homing signals from the Sullivan on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their helicopter. The aviation officers tracked the machine to Camden, NJ, and notified Camden County Metro Police, who recovered the equipment and returned it to its relieved owners.
