This Texas resident was recently carjacked and was smart enough to do the right thing- let them take your vehicle and get yourself to safety. She was also smart enough to have the LoJack® system installed when she bought her Toyota Camry- so local law enforcement could track it down and get it back to her that same day.

On June 24th, 2013 the Camry’s owner contacted the Harris County Precinct 4 Constable’s Department and reported the carjacking. When she stopped at an intersection, two unknown males approached her vehicle and ordered her out. HCCD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the State and Federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Fred Haas Toyota in Spring, TX, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, deputies from Harris County Sheriff Department picked up the homing signals from Toyota on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The deputies tracked the Camry and stopped it traveling on a public street. The two suspects inside were arrested and later found in possession of firearms. The Toyota was soon returned to its grateful owner.
