Bronx, New York District Attorney’s Auto Squad Recover Stolen Honda Odyssey Assisted by the LoJack® System in 64 Minutes

As the old song says, breaking up is hard to do- especially when your ex takes your vehicle along with him. The Bronx, NY resident who had her 2010 Honda Odyssey taken by her former boyfriend was glad that her minivan and the LoJack® system were still a couple- local law enforcement, with the help of LoJack,  was able to track down her Honda in just over an hour after activation.

On June 27th, 2013, the Odyssey’s owner contacted NYPD to report her vehicle was stolen. NYPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers (NYSPIN/ NCIC). This action automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the Honda, which was installed at Yonkers Honda in Yonkers, NY.

A short time later, detectives from the Bronx DA’s Auto Squad picked up the homing signals from the stolen Honda on the LoJack tracking computer installed in their unmarked vehicle. The detectives located the unoccupied vehicle parked in an industrial park in the Bronx. The undamaged Odyssey was recovered and quickly returned to its extremely happy owner.
