A Dodge Durango is stolen from Denver, CO a little after lunchtime in this next case, and with the help of the LoJack® system, local law enforcement is able to track it down before dinner.

On June 25th, 2013 the Durango’s owners contacted the Denver Police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Dodge, which was installed at Automotive Avenues in Lakewood, CO, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the Denver and Lakewood Police Departments picked up the homing signals from the stolen SUV with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. The officers located the Durango being driven at a high rate of speed and continued tracking it until it could be safely stopped.  Two juvenile suspects were arrested. The SUV also contained several items thought to be stolen from other vehicles. The undamaged Dodge was soon returned to its happy owners.
