The Baltimore, MD resident in this case found his Subaru Outback missing from where he had parked it the previous evening. His local police did a fine job of solving the crime, locating the stolen vehicle in a little over a half hour with the help of the LoJack® system.

On June 24th, 2013, the Subaru’s owner contacted the Baltimore City Police Department to report that their vehicle was stolen overnight from Park Avenue in Baltimore. BCPD verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed in the Outback, which was installed at Valley Motors in Cockeysville, MD, was then automatically activated.

A very short while later, detectives from the Regional Auto Theft Team and flight officers in the Baltimore City Aviation Unit “Foxtrot” picked up the homing signals from the Subaru on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles and helicopter. The detectives tracked the vehicle to Brune Street in Baltimore City, where it was found parked and unoccupied. The owner was extremely happy to have his undamaged Outback returned to him so quickly.
