This San Francisco resident’s motorcycle was discovered missing in the wee hours of a Monday morning. Whether he was woken out of a sound sleep, or just returning from an evening out, the fact that his Triumph Speed Triple was not where he had left it must have been a shock.  Having the LoJack® system installed on his bike made the ‘bad’ a little bit better, because local police were able to locate the Speed Triple in just over two hours after activation.

On June 24th, 2013, the Triumph’s owner contacted San Francisco Police to report the crime Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack unit concealed on the bike, which was installed at Southern California Motorcycles in Brea, CA, was then automatically activated.

A short time later, San Francisco PD officers picked up the homing signals from the Triumph with the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They located the stolen motorcycle abandoned on a side street in East San Francisco. The bike sustained only minor fork-lock damage and was soon returned to its very happy owner.
