Helping your local police recover your stolen vehicle fast is the purpose of the LoJack® system. Sometimes, the speed of the recovery is amazing, as in this case where a missing Ford 500 was located by law enforcement in only 16 minutes after activation.

On June 21st, 2013, the 500’s owners discovered that their vehicle was stolen from their Philadelphia residence, and immediately contacted Philadelphia Police. The responding officer entered the car’s information into the Philadelphia Police Computer System and the Pennsylvania State Police Computer. This automatically activated the LoJack device concealed in the stolen Ford, which was installed at Chapman Nissan in Philadelphia, PA.

A few minutes later, investigators from the Philadelphia Police Major Crimes Auto Squad picked up the homing signals from the stolen Ford on the LoJack tracking computer in their undercover police vehicle. The investigators located the car on Gilham Street, parked and unoccupied. The undamaged Ford was soon returned to its very grateful owner.
