The owner of the 2008 Dodge Charger in this case was gone for 11 hours one day and did not return home until almost 1:30 AM.  That’s a very long day, and our victim was probably pretty tired….but noticing that that the car was missing from its parking space was surely a quick and unwelcome wake-up. Local police, assisted by the LoJack® system, were able to save the day, recovering the Charger in only 19 minutes after activation.

This Dodge Charger was stolen from the owner’s apartment complex located on 104th Avenue SE in Kent, WA.  On June 8th, 2013, it was reported to the Kent, WA Police Department, who verified the theft and entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Charger, which was installed at Tacoma Dodge in Tacoma, WA.

A very short time later, a King County Sheriff K9 deputy received the homing signal transmitting from the Dodge on the LoJack tracking computer installed in his patrol vehicle. The deputy located the car on Tukwila-International Boulevard in Tukwila, WA, where it was parked and abandoned. The undamaged Dodge was soon returned to its very happy owner.
