Finding out on Friday morning that your vehicle is missing is not a great way to start your weekend. This situation can be made a little better if you have the LoJack® system installed in your car, truck, van or motorcycle, as these residents of Federal Heights, CO, did. This enabled the local police to track their Chevy Cavalier down in only 29 minutes after activation.

On June 14th, 2013, the Cavalier’s owners contacted the Federal Heights, CO Police to report that their vehicle was stolen. Officers verified the theft and entered the vehicle information into the state and federal crime computers. The LoJack device concealed in the Chevrolet, which was installed at AutoNation Nissan Southwest in Littleton, CO, was then automatically activated.

A short while later, officers with the Thornton PD and the Federal Heights PD picked up the homing signals from the Chevy on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers tracked the vehicle to the area near 87th Avenue and Tejon Street. It was recovered and soon returned to the very happy owners.
