It’s tough to go to work the day after a long holiday weekend. This Seattle resident had an even harder time than most people. He went to get into his car the Tuesday morning after Memorial Day- and it wasn’t there! Lucky for him that there was a LoJack® system installed in his Lexus RX 330, so his local police were able to recover his SUV in just 34 minutes after activation.

On May 28th, 2013, the RX 330’s owner contacted Seattle Police to report the theft. Officers entered the VIN (vehicle identification number) into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack transponder concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Lexus of Valencia, CA.

A short while later, Seattle PD officers received the homing signal from the Lexus on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles.  The officers located the RX 330 in the 4500 block of 42nd Avenue SW.  The SUV was soon returned to its very happy owner.
