Your morning can quickly change from good to bad when you discover your vehicle has been stolen overnight. This recently happened to some Seattle, WA residents who were lucky enough to have the LoJack® system installed in their Lexus ES 300 sedan, so their local police were able to recover it in less than two hours.

On May 30th, 2013, the ES 300’s owners contacted Seattle Police to report that their car was stolen from their residence overnight. Seattle PD entered the vehicle identification number into the state and federal crime computers. That process automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the Lexus, which was installed at Lexus of Santa Monica, CA.

A short while later, a Seattle police officer received the homing signal from the Lexus on the LoJack tracking computer installed in her patrol car.  The officer located the Lexus at 43rd Avenue South and South Webster Street.  The ES 300 had only minor damage and was soon returned to its relieved owner.
