This Las Vegas, Nevada resident must have been in shock when, as he was driving to work one Friday morning, a carjacker assaulted him and stole his Mercedes Benz CLS. He also must have been glad that he had chosen to have the LoJack® system installed, helping local law enforcement retrieve his car in less than 90 minutes after activation.

During the early morning hours of May 31st, 2013 the owner of the Mercedes-Benz contacted Las Vegas Metropolitan Police. LVMP officers verified the theft and entered the car’s information into their computer’s stolen vehicle system. This automatically activated the LoJack unit concealed in the CLS, which was installed at Luxury Motors of Henderson, NV.

A short time later, officers with the North Las Vegas Police began picking up the homing signal from the stolen Mercedes on the LoJack tracking computers installed in their patrol vehicles. They quickly located the CLS abandoned and undamaged. It was soon returned to its grateful owner.
